Biker dies in horror crash on Scots road | 928Z9D5 | 2024-05-12 06:08:01
A BIKER has tragically died after a horror crash on a major Scots road.
Emergency crews raced to the scene on the A83 road in Argyll and Bute yesterday afternoon.
The fatal collision happened south of Clachan, Tarbert, at around 12.05pm.
Tragically, the rider of the motorbike, a 77-year-old man, died as a result of the crash.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no other cars involved in the horror smash.
Police locked down the road for hours to allow collision investigators to conduct inquiries at the scene.
They have also launched a probe into the incident and have said that enquiries are ongoing.
Officers are now appealing for anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
They are urging anyone who may have seen something, or anyone who may know something, to speak with cops.
They are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area from the time of the crash.
Sergeant Archie McGuire said: "Our thoughts are with the man's family and friends at this difficult time.

"We would also like to see any dashcam footage that captures the vehicle or the rider involved prior to the collision happening.
