Chelsea have stepped ahead of Newcastle United in the chase for Tosin Adarabioyo. The Fulham defender, who will be a free agent at the end of this month, has been close to finalising terms with Newcastle and was expected to sign after weeks of negotiations. Manchester United had shown some interest and Chelsea made a contract offer just over a week ago - yet Newcastle were still considered favourites.
