Joe Biden has faced protests to end his re-election campaign from his own supporters at a fundraiser. But his wife Jill insisted he was the 'only person for the job' despite the fallout from his calamitous TV debate. As the President arrived in The Hamptons in New York, he drove past signs from wealthy Democrats reading: 'We love you but it's time.' Others included: 'Please drop out for US'; 'Step down for democracy'; and 'Thank you, next' – a reference to the hit Ariana Grande song.
