The rollercoaster life of one of the Princess of Wales's favourite designers Alice Temperley is whooshing along again, after her company, Temperley London, juddered to a halt during lockdown – and then plunged to a horrifying £31million debt which put it into administration in 2021. Undaunted, Temperley, 49, managed to conjure the full £31 million not quite out of thin air but from a Dubai-based retail firm, which took a controlling stake in her company while ensuring that Temperley remained in situ to do her magic as creative director.
