Fans watching the 2025 Academy Awards ceremony on television — or attempting to watch it on Hulu — only got part of the story. Behind the scenes, Hollywood's biggest stars showed off alternately charming and ridiculous displays. The stars of Wicked were responsible for some of the night's funniest behind-the-scenes visuals, such as when Ariana Grande repurposed her dress' rigid skirt as a phone holder. The songstress was spotted briefly during the broadcast when she rose to her feet next to her costar Cynthia Erivo to applaud Wicked's costume designer Paul Tazewell, who won the Oscar for his efforts on their film.
