Center Stage Star Amanda Schull Reveals the Special Prop She Kept from the Film, Which Turns 25 This Year
It wasn't the dance floor, but Amanda Schull of the 2000s dance cult classic Center Stage did find herself landing at the 42nd Miami Film Festival in Florida over the weekend. Schull, 46, who played Jody Sawyer, the naive newcomer to the School of American Ballet in the film, took fans' questions following the special screening on Sunday, April 6, ahead of the film's 25th anniversary this May. Like her character, Schull was a newcomer to the acting world; during the Q A, she said she was a student with the San Francisco Ballet when a casting director came in and noticed her, calling the moment "kismet.
