TRIBUTES have flooded in for comedian and magician Phil Butler, who has died aged 51. Phil performed as host at the Cromer Pier Show in September 2021. Here's what we know about him.

Phil Butler was an English comedian, magician, stage artist, and producer of The Green Room Podcast. According to his website, he was the first comedian to perform on the front line in Afghanistan. He received the Operational Service Medal for his time there. As well as being a solo artist he also played the comic lead in pantomime and wrote for well known performers including America's Got Talent winner Paul Zerdin. He performed in holiday parks, end of pier shows, pantos, cruise ships, and summer-season variety shows before joining the comedy circuit in 2001. He also had an Instagram page called lilphilstinyplanets where he posted tiny planets every night. Phil was just 51 when he passed away. The news of his death was released on October 18, 2021, with his agents Chris Davis Management, confirming the news on Twitter. They wrote: "It is with huge sadness we have to announce the passing of our friend and client Phil Butler. ...Our thoughts are with his friends & family. The world is a poorer place without him." What was Phil Butler's cause of death? Phil's cause of death is currently unknown.
