Andy Cohen Is 'Surprised' by Porsha Williams' Split From Simon Guobadia | E22R2D0 | 2024-02-28 23:08:01
Andy Cohen was not anticipating Porsha Williams to divorce her husband, Simon Guobadia.
"Porsha introduced final week that she is leaving Simon, and I gotta inform you something, I was saying to the other producers of [The Real Housewives of] Atlanta, when the information began breaking about Simon and a few of his immigration points … I was so stunned," Cohen, 55, explained on his Sirius XM Andy Cohen Reside radio present on Monday, February 26.
Cohen went on to say that the Real Housewives of Atlanta star's divorce was not a think about her choice to return to the Bravo present. (Williams, 42, announced earlier this month that she is returning to the series after a two-year hiatus.)
"None of us knew any of this was on the horizon, and this was actually meant to be Porsha's happily-ever-after sort of victory lap season," he shared. "So it's just, I was so stunned and taken aback, and pay attention, we needed Porsha on the show for Porsha."

The Watch What Happens Stay With Andy Cohen host noted that the opposite RHOA forged members have been completely satisfied to have Williams again no matter what.
"We might take Porsha married, single, choosing up the pieces of her life, on excessive, on low, nevertheless she needs, you understand, nevertheless, she's gonna be," Cohen gushed. "We didn't know [about the split], and this is actually an enormous flip from the story that I feel all of us thought we might be telling, so sending like to Porsha."
On Friday, February 23, People reported that Williams had filed for divorce from Guobadia, 59, after 15 months of marriage, with a source telling the publication that the cut up had nothing to do with rumors surrounding Guobadia's citizenship status. (Days prior, the Atlanta Black Star revealed a report claiming that Guobadia, who was born in Nigeria, had repeatedly been denied residency in the USA.)
Williams broke her silence three days after her divorce filing made headlines.
"Thank you in your prayers & help. -PW," she wrote by way of Instagram on Sunday, February 25.
