A REDDIT consumer has claimed to have made an enormous mistake that left their iPhone very damaged.

An image of the unfortunate mistake was posted to the popular Reddit discussion board r/iPhone.

The forum is described as "Reddit's little corner for iPhone lovers (and a few individuals who just mildly take pleasure in it…)."

"Do NOT stick anything adhesive in your back glass," the disgruntled iPhone proprietor wrote.

They hooked up an image of a really broken device to the submit which confirmed the glass on the back of the telephone had cracked.

A number of the glass is missing and the internal contents of the telephone are visible.

The submit was upvoted greater than 200 occasions, and different Reddit customers expressed their disbelief that glue might cause such injury.

"Did you rip it off fast like a Band-Assist and it was too late earlier than you realized or was it a slow-mo practice wreck and you stored going as a result of why the hell not? Genuinely curious lol," one consumer requested.

"It was already barely cracked before my try, using numerous gadgets to attempt to pry it off I knew it wouldn't come off with out shattering the back.

"Stated f*** it and handed it to my boyfriend who ripped it off taking a piece of glass with it," the initial poster replied.

"Why would you do this and not using a case," the preferred remark said.

It's not just adhesive that you must stay away from your iPhone.

Apple has a list of products on its website which are greatest evaded the system.

"Clean your iPhone immediately if it comes in contact with something which may cause stains or different injury — for example, filth or sand, ink, makeup, cleaning soap, detergent, acids or acidic meals, or lotions," it warns.
