A COSMETIC treatments firm has cut prices in an attempt to lure in new customers — after we revealed it was administering dangerous procedures while unregistered.

DK Aesthetics, run by Daniel Kerr, 38, had been offering filler
injections without being certified by Healthcare Improvement Scotland.

Save Face's Ashton Collins blasted DK Aesthetics

Trade body Save Face has received 21 complaints about the firm in two years.

Save Face's Ashton Collins said: "DK Aesthetics is not a healthcare provider.

"He is selling fillers for cheaper than what it is to buy the best quality stuff.

"It raises questions about what he's using and where he gets it from.

"We had a case recently where another firm injected customers with beef gelatine.

"Having procedures from those who aren't properly qualified is dangerous."

Livingston-based DK Aesthetics, which offers its services nationwide, has cut the cost of fillers from £199 to £99.

Botox treatment from reputable clinics costs up to £350 for three areas, while dermal fillers can cost hundreds of pounds.

Unregistered beauticians often buy cheaper products from Korea and China — with experts claiming there is no way to tell what is in some chemicals.

Prescription-only Botox can cause a droopy eyelid and severe allergic reactions if used wrongly.

And those whose looks are wrecked may not be able to have the work reversed on the NHS if it's not life-threatening.

Around 900,000 filler injections are carried out in the UK a year, with complaints about rogue firms rocketing from 121 in 2019 to 303 in 2023.

Medical professionals who offer cosmetic treatments have been required to register with Healthcare Improvement Scotland since 2017.

Ex-flight attendant Kerr had told our reporter to "f*** off" after being asked why he was unregistered.

DK Aesthetics was approached for comment.
