NFL insider Dianna Russini spoke to Samuel, 28, about the 49ers surprisingly drafting another receiver while questions about his future persist.
And the South Carolina native hardly put an end to the rumors.
"I know what's going on," he responded.
"But it is what it is.
"I'm good staying with them. I'm chilling."
Pearsall, who transferred to Florida from Arizona State in 2022, recorded 965 receiving yards and four touchdowns in 12 games for the Gators last season.
Early Friday morning, San Francisco Chronicle columnist Michael Silver reported that Samuel "was likely to be traded" after the 49ers picked Pearsall.
But later that day, he said the situation was "fluid" and, at that moment, no team appeared to be willing to meet San Francisco's asking price for their star.
"That could obviously change," Silver said.

"All it takes is one team. But at this moment… it's quiet."
The 49ers have reportedly been approached by the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills about a potential trade for Samuel.
But NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported Friday that the two teams are unlikely to acquire the ex-South Carolina standout.
Then, New England and Buffalo both drafted wide receivers in the second round of the 2024 draft.

The Bills selected Keon Coleman out of Florida State with the 33rd overall pick.
And the Patriots picked ex-Washington star Ja'Lynn Polk at No. 37.
Samuel finished the 2023 NFL regular season with 892 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 60 catches.
The versatile receiver added five scores on 37 carries in the run game.
The 49ers are in a tough position when it comes to their receiving corp with Samuel having just two years on his current contract.
Meanwhile, their other star wideout, Brandon Aiyuk, 26, enters the final year of his rookie deal and is set for a major contract extension soon.
Aiyuk logged 1,342 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 75 catches during the 2023 regular season.
