A canine is protected at house with its proprietor because of a rescue staff that winched him out of a 50ft ravine.

The pet fell into the ravine on the walk around the photogenic Aber Falls in Rhaedr Fawr, Snowdonia National Park.

Its devastated owner reached the dog under but couldn't get his pet out – so the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation have been referred to as in.

After a quick search, the canine& and its proprietor have been situated and rescue members descended on ropes.

The& canine& was then lifted to safety, with a rescue staff spokesperson stated it was 'bruised however okay'.

The pair have been then guided again as much as a path before being helped again right down to the primary monitor.

The rescue organisation stated on its website: 'A dog owner referred to as in search of help to rescue their dog from a ravine at Aber falls.

'Native group members deployed instantly with additional troops taking technical rescue gear from base.

'The proprietor and canine have been situated in very steep floor and assisted again as much as the path before being helped back right down to the primary monitor.'

In 2022, a Yorkshire rescue workforce took three hours to rescue a dog who fell down a separate 50ft ravine while chasing a squirrel.

Patterdale terrier Roxy was distracted by the animal while on a walk in Pickering, North Yorkshire, and tumbled down the steep hill.

A group member from Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue was lowered into the ravine on a rope, and grabbed Roxy.

She was given a lot of fuss by the staff, with North Yorkshire Hearth and Rescue saying it was a 'completely satisfied story' with each dog and owner being discovered protected.
