Future of Glasgow's SWG3 confirmed following three teen drug deaths | 828RQ38 | 2024-04-29 06:08:01
THE future of a nightclub attended by three teenagers who died after taking ecstasy has been decided by council chiefs.
SWG3, in the city's West End, received a written warning from council bosses this afternoon over its future after three 18-year-olds died in four months after attending raves at the venue.
SWG3 has to follow strict guidelines over its drug policy if its to remain open[/caption]But strict instructions have been imposed on the venue in order for it to keep its licence and to remain trading.
SWG3 bosses now must tell the police every time an ambulance is called following the deaths of three teenagers.
They are also getting a written warning from the Glasgow Licensing Board and told they must tighten up drug procedures to remain open.
We told how one victim died at a New Year's Day bash while last August, Scott Allison of Cumbernauld, and Marcus Dick, from Coatbridge, both Lanarkshire, also passed away.
