A Strictly Come Dancing icon is set to host Lorraine as its regular host enjoys a six-week break over the summer holidays.
It has been claimed by a source that RuPaul's Drag Race judge and Strictly contestant Michelle Visage will be at the helm during this period.
An insider said the former Seduction singer, who was paired with Giovanni Pernice in 2019 on the dancing show, will 'keep it interesting' while hosting Lorraine.
They went on to say the reality TV star, 55, is a 'perfect fit' for the weekday breakfast show, joining the likes of Christine Lampard and Ranvir Singh.
'ITV has lined up Michelle Visage as a part-time host for its morning chat show Lorraine,' a source told The Mirror.
'She will be hosting the show during a one-off summertime special. She joins the show in a bid to keep it interesting over the summer months,' the insider said.
'Michelle is thrilled to have been given this opportunity. She's a natural presenter and a huge fan of the show so it's a perfect fit. ITV think she will be a huge hit with fans.'
Appearing to confirm the news, when contacted for comment, a representative for Michelle told Metro.co.uk: 'It's always been a dream for Michelle to keep her friend Lorraine's throne warm whilst Lorraine enjoys her summer holiday.'
It comes as Lorraine, 64, has shared her excitement over becoming a 'granny' as her daughter Rosie announced her pregnancy.
Rosie shared a picture of her growing bump to Instagram alongside a picture of a baby scan to share the happy news.
Quick to comment on the news, TV icon Lorraine shared: 'THE most exciting thing to have ever happened in our family! Cannot wait to be a granny and so proud of Rosie and her Steve. It's the best news EVER!'
Earlier this year, Lorraine hit out at an infamous social media account that tracks her time off.
'The amount of space I occupy in people's heads is quite bizarre,' she said during an interview on Loose Women.
'It's fine, I don't mind, I don't care,' she added. 'You should never comment on things like that if you don't know what's going on in people's lives, but I am having to take quite a few Fridays off because my mum is really not well.
'So I can go home now and spend some more time with her and help her more than I've been able to.
'So that's happening now but that will change. I've been doing five days a week for 40 years so I'm just taking a wee bit of time off.'
After her statement, the 'Where Is Lorraine?' account also shared: 'It feels apt to say now that of course we respect that Lorraine may need more time away to look after her mother.
'There is, and never has been, any malice behind this account. It is all for fun and we are happy that @reallorraine seems to understand that.'
Metro.co.uk has contacted representatives for ITV's Lorraine for comment.
