The town's Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) formally permitted congestion pricing by way of the southern elements of Manhattan in late March.

The lawsuits claim the businesses failed to acknowledge that the tolls would pressure extra drivers into the neighboring state and improve localized air pollution.
