Cody Simpson picked up his guitar again as the forlorn pop star returned to music after agonisingly falling short of realising his Olympic dream. Simpson, 27, a global teen sensation who halted his music career to live out his swimming ambitions, missed selection on Australia's team for next month's Paris Olympics. He finished fifth in the men's 100m butterfly final at Australia's selection trials in Brisbane, missing out on a place on the plane to Paris by less than half a second.
