A 13-year-old Texas boy has been left paralyzed after shattering his spine in a freak accident while trying to run away from a wasp. Semyon Williams, Jr., nicknamed SJ, was swimming with a friend at a community pool in Old Orchard Park in Frisco and grew frantic when they saw the bug. Trying to avoid the biting hornet they jumped into the pool, but Williams dove head-first into the shallow end - hitting his head before floating face down in the water.
