Portugal secured safe passage through to the knockout stages at Euro 2024 after maintaining their 100 per cent winning start in Saturday's 3-0 win over Turkey. Cristiano Ronaldo led Portugal to a comfortable win over Group F's toughest opponents but was unable to get on the scoresheet as his wait for a first goal in the competition drags on. The 39-year-old looked set to open his account when through on goal in the second half but unselfishly squared the ball to Man United captain Bruno Fernandes for Portugal's third.
