Tiger Woods has been awarded a lifetime exemption by the PGA Tour for its signature events. Woods, 48, has won 82 PGA titles in his career - including 15 majors - but his ranking has plummeted in recent years as he's battled health issues. From next season, though, Woods will be guaranteed a spot in the eight $20million signature events on the Tour, as a 'player who has reached an exceptional lifetime achievement threshold of 80 [plus] career wins,' a memo sent to players read.
