Former Strictly pro Ian Waite controversially urges BBC bosses 'don't hire Italians' for the show after Graziano Di Prima and Giovanni Pernice bullying scandal

Since Strictly began 20 years ago Italian dancers have become a staple of the Saturday night show. But amid the ongoing bullying furore, the much-loved former Strictly pro, Ian Waite, has made a controversial plea to ban the nationality from partaking in the competition. Giovanni Pernice, 34, exited the show in April following bullying allegations from his dance partner, Amanda Abbington and has denied all accusations. Meanwhile fellow Italian Graziano Di Prima, 30, was sacked after he admitted to kicking his partner, Zara McDermott.
