The original cast of The Goonies could be returning to set in a matter of months as a sequel for the Hollywood classic has recently been 'confirmed'. 40 years after the 1985 film aired, The Goonies has reportedly been given the green light for a second movie. The 1985 beloved adventure-comedy film was directed by Richard Donner and produced by Steven Spielberg. The original cast could be reuniting next summer to start filming ahead of its 2026 release date, according to The Sun.
