Scott Peterson's former mistress Amber Frey is heavily featured in the new Netflix documentary American Murder: Laci Peterson. Frey, a massage therapist from Fresno, California, was unknowingly Scott's mistress for weeks before he killed his heavily-pregnant wife Laci on December 24, 2002. Prosecutors believed she was a motivating factor for Scott to commit the double murder of Laci and his unborn son Conner. Frey, 49, helped the California police secretly compile evidence against Scott by recording conversations with him and was the key witness in his murder trial.
