Sharon Osbourne has claimed the music industry let Liam Payne down as she paid tribute after he fell to his death from a hotel balcony in Argentina on Wednesday aged 31. Sharon's words came after X Factor boss Simon Cowell found himself in the firing line from former stars of the show, Katie Waissel and Rebecca Ferguson who criticised the 'exploitation and profiteering of young stars'. Sharon has also publicly criticised the show, despite appearing on it on and off from 2004 to 2017, comparing it to the 'Wild West'.
