After Kelsey Parker's husband Tom was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour in 2020, at the age of just 32, his bandmates from The Wanted rallied round to support her. Foremost among them was Max George, the boyband heartthrob who had been at Tom's side through their late teens and early 20s as they found fame and fortune. So close were the pair that at Tom's funeral in April 2022, it was Max who gave a heart-wrenching eulogy, prompting both tears and laughter from mourners including grief-stricken Kelsey – who had become a widow at the age of 31.
