Radio 1 fans have slammed the BBC Sound of 2025 winner as 'pointless'. Chappell Roan was crowned the winner of the popular prize on Friday after being chosen by a panel of over 180 industry experts and artists which included Elton John, Sam Smith and Dua Lipa. However, music fans have called out the decision to bestow the honour on the American singer-songwriter, 26, as she's an already established artist, with many claiming the award should be reserved for up and coming singers.
