CALUM McCLURKIN: Redemption awaits for Henderson trio at Aintree
The fates of Lulamba, Constitution Hill and Jonbon at the Cheltenham Festival would have left a bitter taste in the mouth of trainer Nicky Henderson at the team at Seven Barrows. After mastering favourite East India Dock halfway up the run-in, Lulamba's pocket was picked at the line by 100-1 shot Poniros in the Triumph Hurdle in agonising fashion. Jockey Nico de Boinville probably thought the race was won once East India Dock was headed and Lulamba was coming back at the outsider at the line but had no time to renew his challenge.
