Aston Villa join Arsenal in race for Norwegian wonderkid - with Unai Emery's side bidding to beat Gunners to 18-year-old midfield prospect
Aston Villa have held talks with Norway midfield prospect Sverre Nypan as they look to head off competition from Arsenal and Girona. The 18-year old from Rosenborg held extensive negotiations with interested parties in January and was the guest of compatriot, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland for their game against Chelsea. Despite offers from Arsenal, Nypan and his father Arne decided the best course of action was to stay in Norway until the summer.
