A man has been arrested after Phoenix police discovered a dead body in a home where there had previously been a fight, according to spokesperson Sgt. Rob Scherer.
Just after 9 p.m. May 7, at around 9:03 p.m., Phoenix police responded to a call in the area of 24th and Oak streets after they learned a man had been killed, Scherer said.
Officers entered the home and found a dead man.
Detectives discovered that earlier in the day, the man who had not yet been identified had been involved in an altercation with another man inside the home, according to Scherer.

"Investigators followed multiple leads and identified the suspect as 32-year-old Christopher Ebanks," Scherer said.
On May 8, Ebanks was located and taken into custody. He was booked into jail on charges related to the incident, including murder, Scherer said.
Further details have yet to be provided as the investigation is ongoing, but no additional suspects were being sought at this time, according to Scherer.
The Phoenix Police Department Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation, Scherer said.
