Claims have also been surrounding the trucks' fuel economy and emissions, per Top Class Actions.

The company has not admitted any wrongdoing.

Americans who drive or have owned different models of Hino trucks produced between 2011 and 2021, could receive a payment.

Americans with Hino 155 and 195 trucks from model years 2013-2020 are eligible.

Hino 238, 258, 268, and 338 trucks from model years 2011-2020 also fall under the payment.

Americans with 2021 Hino L6 and L7 trucks could receive a payout.

And those who drive or have previously owned 2020 Hino XL7 or XL8 vehicles may also qualify for cash.

Americans can check if they're eligible for the settlement by inputting their VIN into an online tool.

Payments will range between $1,500 and $15,000, per the settlement.

The amount will be divided between parties if the truck has had several owners.

The original buyer will receive 60% of the sum, while 40% will be divided among other owners.

Drivers only have weeks to submit their claims with the June 17 deadline fast approaching.

But to pocket a payment, they must show evidence of relevant paperwork such as proof of sale and insurance documents.

Claims can be submitted online or by mail, per the terms of the settlement.

Meanwhile, current and former Capital One bank customers could be in line to receive a payment from a settlement worth $16 million.

Americans charged representment fees between 2015 and 2022 could benefit from the multimillion-dollar agreement.

Those who think they were affected do not have to show any proof to get a payment.

The money will be sent out in two ways.

Current Capital One members will get credit added to their accounts, while former customers will get a mailed check.
