Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno has told his former Arsenal teammates he will be doing everything in his power to deny Manchester City a win this afternoon.

City take on Fulham at Craven Cottage this afternoon knowing that if they remain their remaining three games of the Premier League season, they will be crowned champions again.

Arsenal are top ahead of their trip to Manchester United on Sunday having played a game more than their rivals, needing Pep Guardiola's side to slip up in order to win their first title in 20 years.

Fulham can play a decisive role in that title race with former Gunners goalkeeper Leno looking to do his former side an enormous favour.

The German joined Arsenal from Bayer Leverkusen in 2018, spending four years in north London before moving to Fulham in 2022 where has served as no1 since.

'My focus is of course my club and my performance,' Leno said.

'If we take some points from City, I think a lot of Arsenal boys will text me. A couple of them text me already and I said to them 'guys don't worry we will give 100% because we want to finish our last home game in a positive way as well'.

Man City have won their last 15 meetings in all competitions but Leno hopes a repeat of last season's narrow defeat at home can be the basis for an improved result today.

'Most of the games we have had against City are very night,' Leno continued.

'Even last season when we lost 2-1, it was very tight game at The Cottage. Hopefully we can make it as hard as possible for them.

'We need a perfect day, a perfect game. The referee needs a perfect game as well. We want to finish our last home game in a positive way.'

City meanwhile will be hoping for a favour from neighbours Manchester United who host Arsenal on Sunday.
